Since opening its doors in April 1999, our salon has been at full force establishing a reputation of mastery in hair cutting, styling, and coloring. Formerly named the Oscar Bond Salon, it is now the Sam Brocato Salon. Beauty industry veteran, Sam Brocato purchased the salon from Wendy and Oscar Bond in July 2008. Sam, Holly (his wife), and the Bonds are longtime friends; together they will lead the salon through this transition with Wendy and Oscar remaining on board as executive staff members, mentors, and educators.
The Bonds started this SOHO location years ago, turning an infinished basement into a successful,18-chair salon and education center. Concurrently, Sam owned and operated Lockworks USA, a company including 180 staff members and 6 beauty salon and school locations in Louisiana for 25 years. Sam sold his company in 2001 upon relocating to New York City to intensify his focus on the Brocato line.
In Manhattan, he continues to grow Brocato, his designer haircure line that have now spanned over 20 countries and he is currently the president and creative director for the company. The Sam Brocato Salon is wholly owned by the Brocato family.
